Due in part to the pervasiveness of technology, students learn much differently than students in the past. More than ever, instructors need to think about our students’ learning styles, expectations, and ways to engage them in the classroom setting. This session will help participants think through the characteristics of today’s students, work through various learning theories applicable to these students, and discuss strategies for engaging them. All attendees will receive a copy of “What the Best College Teachers Do” by Ken Bain.
